Choosing A New Puppy: Why Picking Your Next Puppy Could Be A Major Mistake!

There are so many breeds of dogs and each of them whether they are pedigreed or of mixed breed require certain living arrangements to suit their activity needs.

That is why before you pick out your next puppy you should evaluate your own living arrangements. Do you live in an apartment, condo, or house? Is your home in the country or in a busy city? Where you live is the single most important factor when choosing your new forever friend! But before you do anything you will want to pick up some discount dog supplies for your puppy right away.

You have to also take into account these factors as well: The amount of noise/barking that the particular breed is known for, exercise requirements and whether or not you activity level will compliment the dog's needs, and size restrictions enforced by the home owner's association or your landlord (if renting).

A common misunderstanding is that small dogs are ideal for apartments while larger breed dogs require country or suburban settings. In truth, many large dogs do well in apartments or condos and many small dogs do equally as well in rural homes. You will also want to be sure to grab some discount dog clothes for your puppy as soon as you can.

For example, if you are considering a Greyhound, you don't have to have a country home setting or rual home. Since these breeds are sprinters not long distance or cross country runners, they do well with a long brisk walk and enjoy a good jog a few times a day.

They are also not big barkers either. So that makes them exceptionally good as apartment or condo dwellers. The only real concern with large dogs is having to transport them up stairs should they not be able to climb the stairs themselves because of some issue with health or age.

On the other side of the coin, dogs like the Jack Russell Terrier may look the part of the ideal apartment or condo dog because of their small stature but they are a breed that is known for their insatiable barking and that could lead to you losing your apartment or condo when the neighbors begin to complain!

Small dogs visually look as if they would be great for apartments but small dogs have such high energy levels and most of them are all barkers and constant yappers that they are the worst choice for a pet if you happen to live in an apartment or condo! Be sure to take a look at all these amazing deals on dog supplies for your brand new puppy so that you are fully prepared for ownership.

In conclusion, when you are choosing your pet, do your homework! Meaning, is your home the right fit for the breed of dog you looking at! Evaluate your dog's physical needs, such as how much time are you willing to devote to exercise!

Don't let size fool you! We have clearly dispelled the myth of the small dog vs. large dog when it comes to apartment or condo life!
