I think you are right in what you say, and if you will allow me, I&#039;d like to offer a suggestion of mine own to this as well:

Do some weight training. You see with weight training you are building muscle as opposed to toning it or developing it. The more muscle mass you gain, the easier it is to burn fat, in fact you burn fat long after the exercise has finished. 

Cardiovascular workouts are great for burning fat, but don&#039;t focus on them solely as some exercises only cause you to burn fat when actually exercising. By building muscle as part of your regime you are getting rid of fat even when resting! What a bonus!
